Getting to know you
What’s your name and role within Inspiring Teaching?
My name is Jay Andrews, and I’m a Trainee Recruitment Consultant.
How long have you worked with Inspiring Teaching?
I joined Inspiring Teaching during the summer holidays this year. My previous experience has been within hospitality, most recently working in an Italian restaurant
How would you sum up your job in one sentence?
Contacting people who have shown an interest in working as a Teaching Assistant and supporting them on their journey.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Talking to new people every day and helping them find a job that they’ll love.
If you could learn anything instantly, what would it be?
It sounds very oversimplified, but I’d learn how to become a millionaire overnight. My first purchase would be a big house near my family.
Pineapple on a pizza?
I know that some people have strong opinions on this. Personally, don’t mind it. But it wouldn’t be my first choice.
What would you choose as a go-to song to put you in a good mood?
My choice would be Laugh Now Cry Later by Drake. This is a song that has good vibes, and always puts me in a good mood.
What’s the most recent movie or series-binge that you’ve recommended?
My most recent recommendation was a series called Snowfall on Disney+
The show is set in 1980s Los Angeles and has lots of action to keep you interested.
Would you rather read a book, listen to an audiobook, or neither?
I’m not a regular reader, so I would choose to listen to an audiobook version.
What’s your dream holiday destination?
My dream destination would be New York. I would love to explore all the streets and landmarks that you recognise from films and TV shows.
