What’s your name and role within Inspiring Teaching?
I’m Callum Skeemer. My job title has changed over time but in a nutshell, I manage the team here at Inspiring Teaching.
How long have you worked with Inspiring Teaching?
I’ve worked here with Barry since its inception in 2018.
How would you sum up your job in one sentence?
Recruiting some of the best Teaching Assistants to support some of the best Special Needs schools in London.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
All the different people that we meet. And the variation that this gives us. Even leading from the front by working shifts as a Teaching Assistant to better get to know the schools we work with.
If you could learn anything instantly, what would it be?
I’d choose the ability to learn all languages. If I could only choose one language, then it would be Spanish.

I might terminate this interview if you continue with this question. I'd go as far as to say that I may be making staffing choices based on their answers. It’s a definitive “No” from me.
What would you choose as a go-to song to put you in a good mood?
“Happy” by Pharrell Williams
What’s the most recent movie or series-binge that you’ve recommended?
I’ve just seen the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Overall, I was a bit disappointed, but I still enjoyed it.
I’d say “Designated Survivor” for a series recommendation. You can find it on Netflix.
Would you rather read a book, listen to an audiobook, or neither?
I’d choose an audiobook, or most likely a podcast. You can do other things at the same time as listening.
It’s mainly sports podcasts that I’d be listening to throwing in the Joe Rogan podcast every now and again.
What’s your dream holiday destination?
I don’t have a specific location in mind. I only have a few requirements: it needs to be hot, by a beach, with loads of water activities. My son and I love a waterpark that would be high on my wish list.
