What’s your name and role within Inspiring Teaching?

Hi, I’m Matilda, but I go by Tilly. I am the Compliance Consultant here at Inspiring Teaching.

How long have you worked with Inspiring Teaching?

It’ll be a year in October. This is my first job since leaving school and I’m really enjoying it.

How would you sum up your job in one sentence?

My job in Compliance is helping our candidates get ready to work before going on placements and managing all their identity documents and paperwork.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

I love that each day is different, it keeps everything fresh. I would probably be bored if it was the same every day.

If you could learn anything instantly, what would it be?

It would probably be how to speak another language. I used to be good at French from learning it at school from a young age, but I have forgotten most of it by now.

Pineapple on a pizza?

It’s not something that I would ask for. If pineapple was on my pizza, I would pick it off before eating it, but it wouldn’t put me off.

What would you choose as a go-to song to put you in a good mood?

"Love$ick" by Mura Masa feat. A$AP Rocky is what comes to my mind straight away. But I also love hearing older music that I wouldn’t usually choose when it comes on my Spotify playlists.

What’s the most recent movie or series-binge that you’ve recommended?

Michael recently recommended The Night Agent series on Netflix to me, which was really good. I was surprised as I don’t normally listen to his suggestions. 😊

I recently binged on Gossip Girl and recommended it to my Aunt, she also loved it.

Would you rather read a book, listen to an audiobook, or neither?

I’d rather listen to an audiobook. I get way too distracted trying to read books. I find that books are best for when you’re relaxing and doing nothing.

What’s your dream holiday destination?

I want to travel the world. I’d love to work abroad for a year, maybe spend a summer on a Greek island. I’ve also thought about being a Counsellor at Camp America, somewhere rural like the movie Parent Trap.
